Maintaining Holistic body balance
In order to obtain sound mind and a sound body, body balance in all elements related to the two should be obtained because you should always remember that too much of everything is a bad thing. Anything in excess can affect how to think, how you move, and how you respond to external stimuli that are sometimes unwanted organisms that try to create a battle in your body system in order to invade the cells.
There are various factors that aid in the maintenance of body balance which include a balanced diet, regular exercise, avoidance of vices like smoking and alcohol drinking, and the latest addition is the intake of supplemental vitamins and minerals.
A balanced diet is the most important and most neglected part of being healthy. The amount of food that you intake should be equal to the amount based on the food pyramid; which means that you should only take in sugary and fatty foods in 1-2 servings or at a minimum and that you should eat more food rich in protein and carbohydrates.
The food pyramid is a very important guide for people today because it allows you to understand the food proportions which are healthy, thus, decreasing your chances of acquiring diseases like obesity. But as stated, vitamin and mineral supplementation is also already being promoted by nutritionists because there are times when vitamins for energy or other vitamin groups are not enough in your diet.
Today, there are even whole food vitamins which are being sold everywhere; these are the vitamins which are said to contain organic vegetable and fruit materials that also aid in supplying the body with enough rations that it needs every day.
On the other hand, regular exercise is also of the essence because it aids in better blood circulation, brain functioning, and muscle and bone repair. With enough exercise, you will see that you will not only get in a better shape but your bodily functions will also improve.
And last, the avoidance of vices is very important because no matter how much you exercise and how much you eat enough of the good stuff, if you continually introduce harmful chemical from cigarettes and liquor, expect that your body will also end up shutting down in the long run; because as stated earlier, there should always be a balance in order to maintain better functioning of the body and its parts.
